Thanks for the warm welcome everybody. I was pretty nervous to write an intro, to be honest. It's also my first time to join a forum so I'm still getting the hang of it. Relieved that there are lots of nice people in here. haha

We have the same loves! Crocheting, embroidery, sewing--pretty much anything crafty!! Calligraphy has become my favorite, and I agree IG is a great place for inspiration. I'd start at the pointed pen nirvana section for the tutorials and five right in! Welcome to the forum!!

Hi, I'm Ada from the Philippines. 

I have always loved arts and crafts when I was a kid -- sewing, embroidering, crocheting, drawing, lettering etc. -- but it was only around July last year that I was able to rekindle my love for lettering. Coincidentally, calligraphy was also gaining popularity among my peers in Instagram at that time, so by December I bought some nibs and ink to try it out. I have been practicing modern freehand script calligraphy from time to time since then, but I have never really tried out traditional calligraphy. I am very much interested in learning Copperplate (and other alphabets too!) although I am not really sure where to start. I joined the forum in hopes of getting some tips on studying. Looking forward to learning things from you guys and meeting calligraphers and like-minded people in the process!
