« on: May 18, 2015, 07:52:23 AM »
Hi guys! I wanted to ask what's the best colored brush pen for you? Like Sakura Koi Coloring Brush Pens, Zig scroll & brush, zig clean color, Akashiya sai watercolor Brush, kuretake Zig fudebiyori, Copic ciao, tombow dual brush pen, etc.

What's the best brush pen for you? :)

It depends on the paper and what size the writing is.
Also, some are more durable if you are going to be using them on an envelope addressing job.
If you find a color you like, but you can only get 30 envelopes done before the tip gets mushy, then you have to factor in the purchase of 10 brush pens.
The nylon tipped brushes with actual fibers, like Pentel or the ones that you can fill with ink are the most durable.
Cocoiros are temperamental, but I get the best tiny detail from them.
Tombos, Copics and ZIGs are always fun for larger writing.
Faber Castells are nice for smaller sizes.
I even like the super cheap ones - but not for jobs.
Never met a brush pen I didn't like.

Seems I have a lot of pens to investigate!
So far I only use copics, tombows, pentel sign and faber castell pitt brush pens but mainly because that's all I have had readily available. But I still have a lot to figure out when it comes to brush markers!

I use Touch Twin markers - they're great for building up color.
