Introductions

Hi, I'm Joan from Houston, Texas. I've always loved calligraphy, but have just done the faux version until a couple of months ago, when my daughter got engaged and I took my first class. Now, my favorite part of my day is when I sit down to practice. I really love pointed pen, and look forward to expanding my alphabet repertoire. I'm sure this forum will be a huge inspiration!

Welcome to the forum.  I understand what you mean when say it's your favorite part of the day.  I find it to be incredibly relaxing and challenging at the same time.

and i totally know what you mean. my favorite part of my yesterday was the 3 hours of putting my headphones on and going thru nibs with vermillion sumi, practicing and playing. my escape, my me time, and i love it.
