Hello!
First and foremost, Happy 2017! It's so awesome to see the calligraphy community grow and flourish (pun intended

) so much.

My practice sessions (and reading habits) have been highly sporadic last year, so I figured I should start getting back into doing calligraphy daily starting this year. For that reason, I started a series on my IG called
Flourish in Poetry, and I intend to share one of my favorite poems per week, until the end of this year. Poetry is such an essential part of my life, and so it would be great if everyone can join, too. (I am always on the lookout for beautiful poems.

)
For the first week of January, I decided on A Song of Joys by Walt Whitman. It's such a wonderful poem to start with, as it puts the meaning of joy into perspective--that it can be found in all forms, big or small.

I figured it would be a great outlook to carry into 2017. These are what I have so far.

Again, Happy New Year! Here's to happiness and more sessions with ink.
