Greetings From The "South"
« on: June 15, 2020, 05:00:44 PM »
Hello Everyone,

I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to join this forum, and from what I've read and heard this is a safe place to learn and grow.

I've always had a desire to be more creative, and doodled from a young age as well as enjoyed the process of writing with fountain pen. Well, I was in need of a hobby which would allow me to "break away" from the computer, work and projects.

So, I decided to learn calligraphy/lettering. I am attracted to the Italics, Black Letter, Gothic line of Calligraphy but also feel a part of me leans towards the "lettering" side with a little design.

The lockdown here in the UK has given me the time I would not have had to start this journey. I have purchased a few tools and looking forward to improving.

Thanks again, and hope to connect with some of you.
Warm Regards
Stay Safe!

Wonderful! How exciting to be starting off on a new calligraphy adventure. You may find Italic to be the least frustrating to begin with. Check out John Stevens' work if you haven't yet. So gorgeous!

Welcome to Flourish!  :)
