@Lucie Y - I really love the color of that ink! And I don't think it's crappy at all!
@Zivio and
@AnasaziWrites - the quick and the dead of the crab world! Zivio - I'm relieved to hear it wasn't a real nest! I thought I was losing my mind, trying to think of a bird that nests like that!
btw, Mike - trying to use McCaffery's for broad edge work has given me to frustrations in the past. You might save yourself some trouble and work with sumi, if you're going to focus on broad edge. And yeah, one of my friends in my doctoral program was Gujarati; and I had to study a bit of Sanskrit for my historical linguistics area, so I have a passing familiarity with a few of the scripts of South Asia, and how they relate to each other.
@tiffany.c.a - What fantastic quills! A real treat!
Here's my quick crabbiness -- sometimes a loose sketch works though. I tried the G303 nib again -- nope. I do not have very good control over it. And trying to emulate
@Erica McPhee with a flourished capital C resulted in a pitiful fail in my warmups. Going back to the 404 next time. (and I'm going to keep practicing Erica's C - it's so beautiful, and seems within the theoretical range of possibility for me; just not tonight)
