Fabulous Flourishes
« on: June 06, 2014, 09:32:44 AM »
I thought it would be nice to start a thread of particularly fabulous flourishes, especially those that are not birds!  This one is from the thegraphicsfairy.com and is said to be in the public domain.  Supposed to be from a "1807 Italian Typography print".  Love the those little fishy smiles!

My niece loves horses, so here is a great piece by Barlow and Imes for the Penman's Art Journal.

It is a part of http://www.scranton.edu/academics/ignite/issues/2011/fall/special-collections.shtml the Special Collections department of the Weinberg Memorial Library of the University of Scranton.

Poking around thegraphicsfairy.com some more, they have many examples of nice flourishes.

Of course (I have a golden retriever), I love the dog and kids. Too cute.
