Hallo, writing is so much fun isn't it? I practice at
least a hour per day. How much do you all practice?

Lovely! That is good practice. I try to practice at least once every 2-3 days for several hours at a time. It’s like cookies - hard to stop after just one.  ;D

Too much of Cookies could lead to Diabetic
Too much of drawing with pens could lead to arm discomfort in your hands ...
I too don't care about diabetic or hand discomfort.....   I am just kidding ; I love to get discomfort  so I know I have done some work harder and think I am working on some thing.
writing is a long process and it need to be on the mode of refresh continuously.

Funny you should ask, because I have an exact average to report … although I’ve retired, my previous career kept me immersed in numbers daily, and old habits are hard to break.  So for the 2.75 years from 9/2020 to 6/2023 at which point I stopped keeping track, my average daily practice was 75 minutes, but it ranged anywhere from the rare zero practice days (away from home, unscheduled interruptions) all the way to 4-5 hour days.

Excellent! I love the keepers of data. I should track for 2024. I barely have had time to practice is the past few months. And it shows.

When I was learning Copperplate, I practiced 1 hour per day, Monday - Thursday.  I practiced 4 hours on Friday & 8 hours on Saturday and Sunday!  (Yes, I go to church on Sunday!  Sundays were really busy!)  I was DETERMINED to conquer Copperplate! I don’t think I would have made it with any less effort!!  I’m still “a hack” (unlike experts like @Ken Fraser & @Erica McPhee!), but it’s really pretty writing & I get hired enough to suit me and provide me an outlet for my creative urges!
