I am wondering if there are any resources on doing calligraphy on other surfaces besides paper, like wood or plastic.

There’s always parchment and vellum: not the modern paper finish but the treated skins of sheep and calves.

Thanks, but as I understand those surfaces work similar to paper, if not actually easier. What I want is tips on how to make a wooden sign or something similar.
