Brian Smith posted this bird piece by Michael Sull on IG recently. THESE kind of birds I like. SO CUTE! I might get into this whole bird flourishing stuff after all, now I've seen them.
Do any of you have any more examples of tiny cutesy birds?
I'll try to flourish a fox one of these days :D

I rather think I do, yes.  Surprising, really, that nobody has mentioned Crappy Calligraphy With An Idiot so far:

What?  Tell me that isn't cute.   ;D

when michael sull visited mexico few months ago he told me that the birds on spencerian script has been made in honour to the birds because before the nibs they used to write with feathers. thats why they made birds.  ;D

That makes so much sense!

I agree with Dailyblossoms: even if we don't particularly like birds, it's good to understand the principles of flourishing, and since so much work has been done perfecting those principles in bird-flourishes, we might as well learn them the traditional way. Once we've got some practice, then we can start drawing fox-flourishes or hairy-giant-with-club flourishes.
