Hi!

Every time I use my Pentel brush pens, I have a very hard time with the paper; it always seems to suck too much ink, and my strokes are always really dry. I tried everything!

Thanks!

Chris.

Have you tried lined notebook paper? I like Mead brand which is not the cheapest. Also, the 100% rag paper for markers is usually pretty nice with brush pens, but it is rather expensive.

Thank you! I never tried the Mead notebook paper. However, I tried the marker paper. Unfortunately, I can't get the results I want. Maybe I should dip my pens in ink before every stroke ;)

Thanks again! I appreciate a lot.

Hi,
I use canson XL marker paper and the results are very good, but in the winter or in a cold ambient, the ink not work very well.

I like using Midori, Fabriano and Clairfontaine papers with my Fudes. I usually carry these brands in notebook form and I use the Pentel Fude pens for note taking, practicing brush script and scribbling. The Clairefontaine dulls the ink a little but it doesn't bug me.

If you don't want to loose the vibrancy you can try bleed proof pads used for markers like Copic.
