As a newbie I am struggling with cards and envelopes. Yesterday I went to the newsagent and bought 3 different cards (thank you, birthday) for various people, then attempted to write both the addresses on the envelopes and write inside the cards (pointed pen). The cards were Hallmark and John Sands. But all of them are terrible! With one, the glossy finish inside the card won't take ink. The envelope catches the nib terribly. On another the ink bled horribly on both the envelope and inside the card.
Is this just something I should give up on?
Do people just write onto nice paper, then stick it inside the cards?
Do they make their own envelopes?
Any comments would be appreciated
