Just found this thread. Thank you Andrew for the compilation. I'm fairly new to copperplate and have been lifting the pen at the bottom of underturns to release tension. In the first Charles Zaner file, he states that most engrossers "raise the pen, as it releases tension and allows more of a rest." It's good to see that I was on the right track. Can't wait to read more and see what other insights there are to be gleaned.

I am loving the Business Educator. What a trip back in time. I enjoy reading 'vintage' works and these volumes are gold.
