Why Cursive Mattered

I’m enjoying these articles; thanks for posting them! But then, I’m someone who does know how to use an abacus, well, soroban and used it to file taxes before online software became available.

I don’t recall graduating from pencil to pen as described in this article and other books I’ve read, but do have some vague memories of learning printing and cursive. Was not particularly successful at either and ultimately abandoned cursive after doing a fair amount of software coding in the early computer days.

It is taking a lot of time and attention now to acquire the skill for which I now have so much respect.
