Thanks! I'm gonna explore this further, and see what I can come up with.

I've been doing origami a lot longer than calligraphy, so I decided to combine them. These are some repeating paper patterns that I've written the word "Geometry" on. What does everyone think of this idea?

Also, I just put up a listing for it up on my Etsy site, if anyone wants to check it out: https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/239802126/geometry-calligraphy?ref=shop_home_active_1

Thanks for the feedback, everyone! It's really nice to know that my work isn't just nice by layman standards :)

As for the layout, I just opened the store a few days ago, so I'm still working on finishing the layout, store banner, about page, etc…, but I realize that that's a big thing that needs to get done, so I'll put myself in gear!

Actually, the top view is shown if you click on the listings, so once you're enticed by the nice low angle photography, you do actually get a chance to see the thing you're buying. If it's too confusing, though, I'll consider changing it.

Also, you're right about some of them being in the top left, but that's actually because I was just doing a sketch of that one in my notebook, and it turned out so well, I put up a listing immediately. Mostly, I try to keep them centred. Thanks for the feedback, though. I'm also working on some longer phrases, but they take time, so I haven't had a chance to put them up yet.

Keep the criticism coming!

That is a really creative technique. Gonna try it out right now. Okay if I steal the idea?

Show & Tell / My take on some old, old styles

Recently, I opened up an easy store to sell some of my work, and all of my friends and family love the work, but I'd like the opinion of some actual calligraphers on these pieces. I've been learning for about a year, and I think I've gotten pretty good, but some real criticism would be nice. It's mostly based off of old gothic scripts like Textura Quadrata.
