First Spill
« on: October 21, 2015, 11:38:31 PM »
I had my first ink spill tonight.  It really wasn't so bad.  My beautiful white drafting table is slowly picking up a lot of Rorschach ink blot test material.  I spill some "ink" that I had mixed up myself.  One of my watercolor tubes was busted, so I had mixed it up in a little oil of Olay face cream bottle.  It was dark blue.  Anyway, I've been afraid it would happen and it didn't turn out all that bad.  As an aside, I really like the look of the watercolor used as an ink.

Yep, not nearly as bad as, say, falling off your horse for the first time (although sometimes I feel it is that bad after I've spent a long time mixing a custom color).  But it's bound to happen!  Hopefully you were able to scrape some up and pour it back into your Olay bottle (clever reuse).  I, too, have a white desk and it's survived a few years of ink spills with very little remaining evidence, knock on wood.
