Title: Antique Pattern Library - Vere Foster lettering
Post by: Doesy on November 26, 2016, 02:20:01 PM
I was looking for pdfs of the Vere Foster lettering copybooks when I came across the Antique Pattern Library. It has a small but interesting selection of calligraphy resources in addition to other antique pattern books/resources.

Here is the linky:

That's exceedingly interesting to me.  I used to have that copybook and recognised the plates instantly, despite not having seen them for the better part of 40 years.  As a youngster I spent many hours on the Old English, German Text and Church Text alphabets, and for what they are (Victorian confections) I still think they're amongst the best exemplars I've seen.  Thank you very much!
