Margaret Shepherd is primarily a broad edge calligrapher.
She has a blog and has mentioned on her blog that she has never studied pointed pen and does not consider her few examples of pointed pen to be her best work. So, if you are mostly interested in pointed pen work, you might not need her book.
She posted most of her exemplars on her blog, so you can get a good idea of what type of work she does.
