I bought a bottle of Dr. Martin"s teal Bombay ink.  I find that the ink runs out on the nib after only three letters.  I am using a Principal nib - none of the other inks perform (or do not perform) this way with this nib.  Has anyone else had this issue?  is there a particular nib that works better with this ink?  The color is so pretty, I would hate to not use it.

Open Flourish | General Discussion / Carpal Tunnel Surgery

I will have this surgery on my dominate hand tomorrow morning.  I am going to miss being able to practice my calligraphy.  I hope I do not lose the improvement I have gained over the last two/three months.  Please wish me luck for the surgery and for the withdrawal symptoms I am sure to experience.   I will surely be reading the forum in order to keep my sanity.   Thank you all for all the knowledge that you freely give.

Introductions / Hi Y'all from Oklahoma

My name is Sheila and I have just started learning Copperplate.  I have done some type of calligraphy since I was a teenager.   I have mainly used fountain (broad tip) pens and markers until now.   I have fallen in love with pointed dip pen writing.   I am so excited to have found this forum.  I am fairly shy, so I hope to come out of my shell and get to know all of you talented people.   I have already read all 25 pages of the General Topic and thought now would be a good time to join.
