From my collection. I had a seal made from this piece, a few of you may have received.

@AnasaziWrites I really enjoy seeing illustrations that go with your calligraphy every day!
@Mary_M nice to meet you! Love the copperplate!

Here is my take on today's prompt. I spent a good chunk of the evening practicing italics in different sizes and with different tools. You can't really see that in tonight's sample, but I feel I grew a little today :)

Night night!
Oh crêpe!

Glad to see you here @Mary_M - your pointed pen work is so lovely!

Thanks for the metallic ink info, @Lucie Y - I'm going to look for them. On the other hand, my new metallics obsession is here, with the duo-tone metallics by Coliro/Finetec. This one is called "Phoenix" (peachy-pink from one angle, gold from another - I tried to rake the light in the photo to show a bit of both); gold line work is Dr. Ph. Martin's in "Copperplate Gold".

The figure in the G is the alchemical symbol for "the philosopher's stone" - a substance that could supposedly turn base metals into gold. A circle around a golden/isosceles triangle, around a square, around a circle around a point - the circle with the dot is the alchemical symbol for gold. I thought it made a nice pairing with the symbology of transformation in the "phoenix" color.
@Zivio - just a sprinkling of pedantry tonight.

And yes, Lucie & @AnasaziWrites - the lettering is enormous, and it was actually physically difficult to load a #1.5 Mitchell with enough of the color to draw italics at that scale (x=15mm)

Fully agree. From the 1st to the 7th, everything has been eye-watering.
Laughter is definitely the best medicine, but Wolves destroying WBA runs laughter close, and the Yankees winning the World Series is ................ laughter is the best medicine, remember?

@K2 I love the combination of golds. Thank you for the fun facts about the symbol.
