Mike, @AnasaziWrites, tell us more about those pen holders in your photos. Is that your collection? Or Harvest's?

I found this gem on pg. 434 of Michael Sull's Spencerian Script and OP Vol Two. R.S. Collins.

Oh Amy, I am so sorry for your niece!! I'll message you for the address and send some love. My only nieces are cats, and they must think papers with wet calligraphy are the perfect places to sit, so it would be nice to send something to a niece that actually can read for once, even if she is not my niece! Hope she gets well soon! And that horses don't frighten her after that accident!

You are so funny! I have furry-nieces and furry-nephews too. She owns a horse, so I am sure she will be fine.  Thanks again!

Thank you all for responding. You all have made my day (it was a bad Monday at work).

I love having such a great calligraphy community to support each other. Plus you get to practice too. She will love it!

Hello, my niece Cora Elizabeth was in a horse accident over the weekend. She is a rodeo queen in Tennessee and her horse sat down and rolled over her. She is recovering from hip fractures, but will need a lot of physical therapy and rest. She came with me to IAMPETH 2015 packet pickup, so some of you have met her. Cora is the nicest, caring and most wonderful 18 year-old I have the pleasure of being related to. I haven't been blessed with kids, but my nieces and nephews have my heart.

If you could practice her favorite song lyrics, or maybe her name and send it to her, I would really appreciate it. I think a mail box full of calligraphy would be wonderful. I know I will be sending my love.

Please message me for her address.

Cora Elizabeth
Loves horses, the Walking Dead, and country music

Favorite song
Rose in Paradise
By Waylon Jennings

"Now there's a rose out in the garden...
Its beauty cuts just like a knife...
They say that it even grows in the winter time...
And blooms in the dead of the night..."

Hello @ash0kgiri. I usually trace the signatures a few times with pencil, then pen and ink to understand the structure and steps. Then I just free write and practice a million times.

Yes, 8x1" grid. Whole arm. I haven't spent time learning off-hand yet. @AnasaziWrites

I always write too big. What size are you using?

I do realize I need to spend more time with my pen. It was fun to practice this one. L.M. Kelchner

Sorry guys, I did not create this website. There is a red warning located here on the website

"JavaScript is required. For best results, I strongly recommend using Firefox or Google Chrome. Some functionality is broken under Internet Explorer, Konqueror, Opera Mini, and the default Android Web browser. And don't even bother trying Lynx or Elinks."

Maybe update your Java too. It worked for me in Safari too. Good luck

Looks great @Raayynuh. I wish I could attend the Saga too, but teachers only get the summer off for calligraphy camp fun. I will have to live vicariously through you.

Here is my Bloser. I haven't really wrote much OP, or Spence this summer. I have be focusing on Italian hand since June.
