Land of the Living Skies

...is the somewhat flowery expression we have on our license plates in this part of the prairies.

Hello, Forum.  I'm Monty from Canada.  I found my way here for a pen I'd never used, for a color I'd never seen, inherited from a grandfather I never met.

Some old chemicals I inherited must have been for cyanotypes.  They make Prussian Blue, a more brilliant color than I'd ever seen - too deep to photograph, it goes black!  It seemed a shame to waste it, but it can only be put in a brush (boring) or dip pen (which still exist??)

So here I am with a handful of cheap Speedball merchandise, a lifetime supply of free blue, and a sudden interest that won't leave me alone.  How's everyone doing?

Hi, Monty!

If you're restricted to just one color of ink, at least it's a pretty one!  ;D  Welcome to the Forum!

Welcome, Monty!  Not a bad way to get introduced into the pen world. :)
