That is totally cool. You continue to amaze.

Tools & Supplies / Re: Diamine Inkvent 2022 - Bliss
« on: Today at 04:40:19 PM »
Just noodling around with this first ink of the calendar--Bliss. Have not yet decided what sort of posts I'll do this time, perhaps practice a script I'd like to improve, we'll see.

Anyway this is a standard ink (no sheen or shimmer or other unusual properties that I see). Reminds me of a very dilute Stargazer from last year, very pretty aqua with a little green. Writes well right out of the bottle with pointed pen if the nib is not ultra sharp and the letters are small. I'm using a Spencerian #1 on Strathmore Bristol smooth 100 lb. The ink bleeds out nicely on the wet paper towel. I'm sure @K-2  will have a better analysis and submission after a bit.

edit:  While typing this post, @K-2  posted-- and a fine post it is. Beautifully done.

I *finally* got all my envelopes in the mail… coming to a mailbox near you soon!  :-*
Mine arrived and it's a beauty. Very nicely done and worth the wait.

The other day I taught a class all about addressing Envelopes. It was really fun and my first zoom class. I decorated the wall behind me with envelopes from previous exchanges and letters. Thought I would share. I love how it turned out.
What a wonderful thing to do. I bet it worked well.

I have written this word so many times and every time I miss a letter.  ;D Actually got into my studio today - with real pen and ink!
This is lovely.

Making up for the last two days too...
Well done. This may be the first time in the history of the English language that those three words have been used in a single sentence.

@AnasaziWrites - is that "Stargazer" or "All the Best" from the 2021 Invent set?  Such a beautiful ink!
It's Winter Spice. Interesting that the ink appears different in the two examples, written just seconds apart. Some of the elements settling out? No gum arabic needed on this one, at least on this paper.

2022 Exchanges / Re: Secret Santa 2022 Sign Ups are now OPEN!

This sounds like so much fun Erica! I couldn't agree more with Aries. Thanks for all you do here!

Quick question, would we need to keep our identity "secret" for the exchange? Like just a return address without a name?
@Erica McPhee
I was wondering that too.
Or letters with no return address at all. I've been on so many exchanges, I would know who the sender was by return address alone, unless it was from a first time exchange participant.

This is all awesome! Vermilion is one of my favourite ink.
Very nicely done, Ash.
Which vermilion ink are you using?
