Unlike Janice, I have no patience, and have opened everything I've received.  All have had gorgeous calligraphy and designs.

Welcome.  There are tons of resources throughout the site.  Often, somebody will casually mention something spectacular, so you may find it helpful to read a bunch of threads related with your specific interest.

Hi, Marie.  Here's my humble opinion:

Get at least two of each nib.  Occasionally, a nib will be defective, and if you have only one, you won't know whether it's defective or just not a nib you like.
