Three years ago I got interested in fountain pens after a colleague showed me a couple of his pens.
I went out and bought a cheap Faber Castell, and promptly fell down the rabbit hole.
After relearning cursive (I had stopped writing in the mid-90s), and (mostly) breaking myself away from being a hand writer, I've decided to learn Spencerian and Copperplate.
I've got the Mott Spencerian copy books, and a few books on Copperplate and general calligraphy.
I've signed up for an introduction to modern calligraphy course being held locally in Vancouver in early February.
I'm an avid visitor to the Fountain Pen Network, where after posting a question regarding the best nib for Spencerian, someone pointed me at the Flourish Forum. So here I am.
I think I've got a bunch of reading to catch up on over here.
Oh yeah, I'm a software developer, and avid cyclist and runner. I have too many fountain pens. I like dogs. :-)
Cheers,
David
