I took also classes from both. What I appreciate very much in Harvest's classes is that she shows not only her own exemplars, but also a lot of historical exemplars, some of them quite rare; and I did not think that her teaching or critique style lacks detail. Yes, she gives a bit more positive feedback, but my impression is that she takes very much into account where a person is already skill wise. So someone who is more of a beginner gets a lot of encouragement, while someone more advanced absolutely gets hints where to improve and not just "sugar coating". – Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy the Flourishing course with Connie, but I felt I had to put in a good word here for Harvest's class. Plus from my past experience (Spencerian, Advanced Spencerian and Illuminated Initials), I can say that her classes tend to attract a very communicative crowd. A lot of homework is posted, so you get a lot to compare to and to learn from.
