Spencerian Script / Rumaging through the small nibs

Recently, I had occasion to send a bunch of tiny envelopes, whose delivery times seem to vary widely, and was looking through the various nibs that might make small letters and bumped into a couple of boxes of Brandauer 516 nibs. They were with my especially good nibs, and had forgotten why they were with the good nibs until I tried one. Really nice. As fine as a Gillott Crow Quill or Esterbrook 63. Anyone have some to trade? I'm no W. Lynn White, but might like a few more of them.

Word of the Day / Prelapsarian

In the days before Google and ubiquitous internet access, the most often used book in our house was the 1550 page American Heritage Dictionary, to which I would refer when coming across a word I did not know and was unable to figure out the meaning of from context. Interestingly, this word was not in that dictionary (so I would have referred to an unabridged dictionary in the day). Now the meaning is obtained easily with a few keystrokes. It's context was in referring to the FBI prior to 2016. So, a little hole in my vocabulary was filled today. I'd wager a history buff or biblical scholar (of which I am neither) would know it on sight.

A friend pointed me to this article about using vintage stamps to decorate hand-written letters/envelopes, which I have done for years, particularly in the exchanges, matching the color envelopes or theme of the exchange. I've also received a few. Anyone else do this currently?

Is it not fun to discover someone has coined a new word that describes a complex subject in a single word?
This from the first paragraph of a book review in the April 16-17 edition of the Wall Street Journal, describing a person's quest for the perfect audio system.
Could apply to any tool or endeavor--penmanship perhaps?
