Could it be because there is too much of it? From Schin's blog -

I haven't tried it personally even though I have a bottle of it, I will try it in the near future and see how it goes!

About waterproofing envelopes, I read about a way using Judikins Microglaze:

I think that could be a better option as compared to finding a waterproof ink!

Hey guys, so I'm currently in Philly on a weekend trip till monday and decided to visit the Parkway Central Library where they're having an exhibition on fraktur. (from Wiki: Fraktur is a calligraphic hand of the Latin alphabet and many of several blackletter typefaces derived from this hand. The word derives from the past participle fractus ("broken") of Latin frangere ("to break"); the same root as the English word "fracture".)

It was so interesting!!!!! They had birth certificates, and many different manuscripts and they were all sooooooo beautiful I was swooning at every single piece. I would recommend it if you're going to be in Philly, it'll only take about an hour or so! It's on till June 14 :)

Pictures are not in the best quality because of the size limit... but hopefully they're still good enough to appreciate!

Hey there are quite a few stores here like Dick Blick! I also like Da Vinci's. I thought Central Art Supply was slightly pricey, but they have a wider range of nibs there as compared to the others who hold mostly the Speedball nibs, or Tachikawa comic nibs at Da Vinci's. I actually took a day to visit every art store from Lee's Art at 57th to Central Art Supply around 10th, all on foot! I am a bit mad when it comes to comparing prices :P

If you're a student, Da Vinci's and Central Art Supply gives 10% discounts if you show your student card:)
