My new logo!

So, I'm totally throwing caution to the wind and starting a little company up. It may not be taking off until later this year, after summer perhaps, but I sat down these last few days and had a good long think about the name and branding. The background image is just a placeholder to represent a website landing page What do you all think? Naff, nasty, OK?

Thank you Nikki! Yes, that's my calligraphy! I quickly did a bit of styling on my desk today and shot it. It's not particularly high res, but I will do something similar for the final thing, yes

Thank you Nikki! Yes, that's my calligraphy! I quickly did a bit of styling on my desk today and shot it. It's not particularly high res, but I will do something similar for the final thing, yes

Your calligraphy is awesome, I love the logo and name, it looks very professional...which is why I think I would consider a different sort of background? Less kitchen table crafting...more art studio designing...maybe? I hope you don't mind me saying so x I hate criticising

That is a lovely script and beautiful writing.   
Just one suggestion,  Looking at it from a non-calligrapher's eye.

I presume the name is the Fine Letter Co. If that is the name,  I could not clearly see a dot on top of the "i" and given the connecting loop into the "i"  it could be mistaken for an "r"

Agree with Nikki.  I just saw your IG feed and your work is amazing.  Specially loved the framed project you did.  Given the talent and the professionalism you have, her idea of a studio/ design background  may be more appropriate.

Yes, thanks Nikki, definitely take your comments on board. I'm not fully decided in what direction I would take this or how I would execute it yet. Glad to know you think I deserve a designers studio though

Thanks Prasad, I hear ya! I did struggle with that decision to omit it. But seeing as it's a logo I felt I could omit it as artistic licence. My husband could read it and if he can read it anyone can
