Glad everyone over there in  USA enjoyed it . Here in Uk it  has not been visible( just somewhere in a corner it had the visibility  as a partial eclips) though. regards to  London where I live  It was just the  Youtube documentary  we had. Yes it is a something  extraordinary event. Last time it happened ( 1998 )  I was in Paris  and I had the opportunity to document that event in Paris. it was again a partial eclipse we had but my photography is memorable.
Funny thing is on 8th April 2024 event,  there's group  of people  used this event to manipulate our mind.The NASA and DARPA has done a secret project  in Switzerland during this  eclipse. It looks like it is something to Wepanize the whether further into it warmongering  and reaping money to control the world.
Peace and love everyone and hope this cosmic event will radiate more positive energy onto us whatever  other things are getting developed in the outer matrix as non-positive to the humanity.   

@Erica McPhee  lovely photos and @AnasaziWrites  I like your idea of PINHOLE  photography :  It has really come out through that camera. you must PATENT that " tool' Salad strainer .... giving it a name. !!!!!!

@Masgrimes I have been so fortunate in that I invested in a box of vintage ones about 15 years ago.  So I haven’t purchased any more recently. Funny though - I haven’t used them for some time so I will have to dig them out. 

Ah, yes, invested is the right word. A good buy, but closer to 6 yrs., 9 months ago--time does indeed fly but not (thankfully) that quickly. Trot those boys out @Erica McPhee , and give 'em a workout. They're dying to be used. Your work is so good now, you can really get the most out of them.

Anyone ( @Cyril Jayant , @Mark T , @JanisTX  ) who would like to try one, just pm me your current address and I'll send you one, no cost. As @Ken Fraser said 7 years ago, given my age, I probably have enough to see me through.

As to whether the new ones are less good than the old ones, I can't say, @Masgrimes , as I have only the old ones, but if you would like a few old ones to compare, let me know (I have your address, of course).

I agree too this nib is an special nib and it is in the category of fine writers. Just as Spencerian/ Gillottes 303/ or any other type as 303. Undoubtedly  this is one the versions of Easterbrook to an answer to  Josephs Gillottes 303ef .. 
 I have not yet tried the nib but I have few nibs somewhere  in my EASTERBROOK  collection already. I have many more to try and this is one of them in the list to try.

This is such an  historic document together to talk about penmanship and the history of "Tour  De France'    I like how  this story  brings us back in the time machine to this particular time .  I love tour de France. It was my favourite sport and as a photographer,  I was fortunate enough to Live in France -Paris and had the opportunity to document it for many years. I have many souvenirs de la Tour !!!! . . During the Month of May to July I miss France a lot as I am not able to see the "Tour"  anymore. 
I love here this story as on of the best  historic sport events  in this documentary  writing  in a penmanship to talk about two things. The honouring a hero by the enthusiastic penmanship at the time.

It is a nice specimen in italic and love how you have use the Gradient  colour change throughout the sample. Rotring pen is a good calligraphy pen and it is specially in a hand like you could make many expressive writing like this. as you had used the pen by dipping it is interesting to know how you continued the dipping the pen. As this is pure hand written  by ink and a pen ,I am curious and  could you give us a little more details in how you changed the colour transmute into such consistent change please. I appreciate if you have a little time to com back to share your technique.

I truly agree with you @Vintage_BE  about your point of view on pen holders and what are they and how they are made.

I have several replica of vintage pen holders  made by 3D print versions by Christopher York. They are cheaper in plastic than on real wood. So I bought them just to test and try the shapes. They don't feel like good pens in hand and nothing to compared to real wooden holders.

To my openion every wood pen gives a different experience in different pens ( Nibs ) when you interchange them to write. I have some wood holders from  well known moderate priced brands . They are really worth  money for what I have paid for .

The pen holders you are talking here looks good for sure.

I think you enter the form as  someone not liking SLOPING SCRIPTS " ... but I assure you many of us came here as you and got ended up getting to that rabbit hole of many " Sloping wonderland. " 

Give it a little time and you'll understand what  I men by that.

Good ideas and thinking. They are very helpful. What I do  is using an Optical Loupe that I was using to check my Photographic Negatives.
It is a great tool too to look at my pens, nibs and Looking into  some macro details. Nib tines alignments etc.  There are cheaper Loupes in plastic ( made in china )  that is enough quality to serve the purpose of using in small tasks.
