Introductions / Greetings from Maine

Greetings to Erica and everyone on the Flourish Forum!
My name is Laura and I have dabbled in a variety of arts and crafts over the years but one of the earliest was calligraphy. As a child and young adult I loved to play at letterforms and create my own scripts. I have recently returned to taking up a calligraphy practice, focusing on Copperplate and use of pointed pen, as a way to meld a form of artistic expression with meditation on the words of the Bible.
While I am very excited to join this creative community, I am a bit overwhelmed at the moment by the substantial amount of resources on here - though this is exactly what I hoped to find. Erica, thank you so much for creating and managing this forum!!!!!
I am an Episcopal priest, wife, mother of two adult children, and grandmother of one toddler. We homeschooled and homesteaded when the kids were at home.
