Thank you for the welcome messages. Glad to see some people have been to PEI! I have an Instagram account as Msssmitty. I used Instagram mostly to follow my children's posts but realized it's a gold mine of inspiration for calligraphy and writing! I've been overwhelmed with the beautiful art work I've found there! This is my first forum so I'm hoping I've posted this reply in the correct spot!

Thank you for letting me join! I have always loved written words and keep several journals and quote books and about a hundred pens. I've been purchasing calligraphy material, reading web information, and taking out library books trying to learn about a topic that has so much information. I found a few beautiful calligraphers on Instagram who have mentioned the flourish forum, so here I am on my first forum ever. There has been a lot of trial and error, limited local supplies, and no classes or people doing calligraphy that I know of where I live so I'm glad to have found this forum.
