Interesting answers :) Keep 'em coming!

I would probably be doing karaoke, belting my heart out!  ;D ;D ;D  I came from a family of singers, but the gift of voice skipped out on me.  :o :o :o

I would definitely be moving about more exercise--calligraphy is absolutely a waist line killer!  Fortunately my other passion, dancing Argentine tango (definitely NOT ballroom tango), is very much like calligraphy in a multitude of ways.

Probably reading... I think I've only read like 2 or 3 books since starting calligraphy last year!

That's mine, too. I sorta miss reading as much as I used to. But when given the chance to either do some calligraphy or pick up a book, calligraphy seems to be winning those battles pretty much every time. Sorry books. I'll come back to you when the arthritis sets in.

Reading science fiction. Perhaps writing science fiction? Calligraphy really fills a niche type of mental activity that I can't satisfy in my other work. Here's how I break it down:

Reading for work: consumption, hard thinking, high precision
Writing for work: creative, hard thinking, high precision
Reading for pleasure: consumption, easy thinking, low precision
Writing for pleasure: creative, easy thinking, low precision

Calligraphy: Creative, easy thinking, high precision
Browsing flourish forum and instagram: Consumption, easy thinking, high precision

Same here! I even promised myself to finish at least one book a month, but I always end up doing calligraphy.

I'd probably be a graphic designer, layout artist and (maybe) a motion graphics artist.

Or i'd probably find a way to sell cute bento lunches HAHA!

Stamp carving! I don't do it as much since I decided to practice calligraphy daily.
I like to write words, make stamps, and wrap gifts.

I already practice it an hour a day but I really should be practicing much more!

Roseann, you're my hero! I have always longed to play the piano beautifully, and I even took lessons for years, but my brain refuses to understand music :'(

Before I found calligraphy (and babies!), I spent 10-20 hours per week researching my family history.  I miss having time for genealogy, but it just doesn't fit right now.  I know I'll get back to it someday though.

Calligraphy is the perfect compliment to your research. When the time comes, you can do your family tree in Calligraphy - that would be awesome.

I have an opinion and I'm not afraid to use it.
