Pointed Pen Uncials anyone!
« on: January 20, 2016, 05:10:10 PM »
Not sure which area of the forum to put this. I discovered pointed pen uncials today, fallen in love and am trying to scour the internet looking for tuition on this style. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Pointed Pen Uncial was developed by IAMPETH Master Penman Mike Kecseg. The best exemplar is in the Speedball Textbook :)

You can get the latest edition from John Neal Books.

I love your P-uncials Linda! One of these days I'll get around to attempting it.

Just bought this from John Neal.  It's very well done with history of the Textbook and lots and lots of tips and techniques from dozens of artists.

I wanted to learn 'Pointed Pen Uncials' and based on recommendations, I bought the 24th Edition Speedball Textbook.

This edition does have a nice exemplar, but unfortunately, it is not broken down to show how the letters are formed. I was so disappointed. I like having the letters broken down and arrows showing how to form them.

The textbook is still nice, but I wanted to let other members know if they are looking for how to form the letters, it is not available in this textbook.
