Wow!
I realized just now that has been generated a thread all mine
So.. I think I must speak a little bit of mine holder. (please, be kind with my english
)
Last summer I was upset because all of mine holder was that kind of ugly plastic and here in physical stores near my city I can find only horrible kinds, so I realized that I could turn out by myself.
In our house there is a lathe and my father helped me a lot starting turning!
I grew up in the north of Italy in a zone very rich of olive and other wonderful trees.
So the very firts pen holder that I made was in this kind of wood; I really like to use this because it has wonderful scents both when u turn and it remains also when the pen is finished and varnished!
So I've started to turn, to turn and again to turn.
Soon I've realized that I have more penholder that I could use, so I've started to sell in my etsy shop.
And that I need other tools so I've also started to produce what I need
like this block of olive to hold the penholder
I don't know if I can insert my etsy link
but i post some image of my penholder and if you have more question, I'm here
This is made of Bubinga (well, actually, is not a typical wood from Italy, but I've also started to discover new kind of woos) and I like it because of his shading, that range from a pinkish to a golden tone
This is another of my fav! Is made of olive and walnut wood from a very small zone with very particular kind of walnut protected by European Union for its quality.
This one in Swietenia and Olive wood
or this one
that is made with this chestnut tree
