Hi Gabby -

Have you read through the Spencerian Threads here on FF?  The very first one is "Learning Spencerian - Resources."  Maybe something there will help you out.

If you haven't already, go to the IAMPETH website.  There is all kinds of help there, including lessons and books.

I am not motivated to learn unless I really like the exemplar.  You could look for an exemplar that you like (envy?) and choose it to study.

I learned Spencerian first from Harvest Crittenden and Michael Sull.  Lately I have been enjoying studying from Lessons in Ornamental Penmanship published by the Zaner-Bloser Company.  You can find this book, and download it for free, from the IAMPETH website.

I second the IAMPETH website recommendation. Have you looked at the material there? Lots of stuff for instruction and inspiration. I usually just pick a piece I really like from one of the pdf books, print it out and try copy it over and over. But if you want step by step instruction there's plenty of that too.
