Hi from Munich
« on: May 28, 2020, 06:34:49 PM »
Hi everyone!

a couple of days ago I listened to the new episode of the calligraphy podcast. Thats when I first heard about the forum. So here I am, excited about being a little part of this.
Some years ago I dipped a little bit into calligraphy, buying a pilot parallel pen but after a while I stopped practicing. Because of all the time being at home lately I decided
to start trying it again.
I practice blackletter style scripts and uncial at the moment but I'm still quite a beginner. Generally speaking I'm interested in all sorts of scripts but broad edge nib scripts are
the ones I'm trying to get good at.

I saw a couple of posts mentioning an email with a confirmation link that I have to click on. So far I only got an email that said that my account got activated.
So is there still something left for me to do?

Greetings from Munich
Jonas

Hi Jonas,
Nothing left to do except have fun looking at all the good calligraphy stuff! We have a whole board dedicated to broad edge calligraphy. Let us know if you have any questions. Welcome!  ;D

Hi Jonas!  Welcome to the Forum!  I love Munich - spent a very festive New Years Eve there almost 15 years ago.  You guys sure know how to have fun.

Hi Bianca,

that's for sure! There are a lot of places to hang out and enjoy the evening.
I'm glad you liked it here in Munich.

Hi Jonas, Welcome to the forum! I find broad pen a lot harder to master than pointed pen, and such a different feel. It's all about the edges. Have fun exploring!
