Fishing at a remote lake in British Columbia in 1980. We set up camp next to the lake, which was fed by a glacier--that lake was cold and the fish were hungry.

We always go camping every summer…but it is really more like “glamping” for us….TV, air conditioning, and preferably a full hook up campsite!

I’m in Florida helping my brother and mother clean up from the hurricane and my brother and I were talking about how we used to go fishing by ourselves in like 3rd grade, catch mackerel, come home, filet the fish and then give them to our grandparents to cook for dinner. Both he and I agreed neither of us could do that today!

The fish in the word is not an idea original to me--Courtney is famous for it and others have played with it too (eg. Walker--you have a piece, don't you?).

I don’t have any original pieces except for a certificate. I wish I had thought to pursue original work way back before we had our “mini-hey-day” in the calligraphy world. Now, they are so rare to find.
