Physical portfolio?

Howdy y'all.
Does anybody use a physical portfolio anymore, or is it all about web presence now?
I really don't like facebook type places, for all the "old people reasons", but do we have a choice?

I have 2 physical portfolios. (They’re repurposed wedding albums that I got 60% off at Michael’s.). One has calligraphed envelope sample that can be removed from the plastic sleeve. It also has samples of place cards I calligraphed, prayers & such, menus, & other similar samples.

I also have an interest in print making. The other book has samples of wedding programs, galas, invitations, and other similar printed, letterpressed, materials.  I also can apply colored foil onto paper projects. (Usually a brilliant gold, but I can generally find almost any color.)

I take both books when I meet with clients.  It gives them some insight into what I can do.  They also get inspiration about their own upcoming project.

I don’t have in person clients anymore so no need for a physical portfolio. I have a website with a portfolio of past work and my Instagram which is solely dedicated to calligraphy is somewhat of a portfolio.

I like Janice’s idea and used to use a handmade paper album from Rag & Bone. It was very big and cumbersome but looked very nice.

I probably need to adjust my thinking on social media, and just make it work rather than fighting it.
(I'm on computers all day for work, and trying to limit computer usage in my off time.)
Looks like I'll maybe make a physical portfolio for local work, backed with a simple website.
