Standard Sam Flax black envelope; Dr. PH.Martin's Iridescent Salmon ink and McCaffery's Penmans's ink; Zebra G nib; the photo I took of a flower in the next door neighbor's yard in early June, and printed on my Epson printer; WWII era 2 cent stamp, firing fireworks (one for domestic postage, 3 for international postage); each message inside done by hand without touch-up--no photocopying--you get what you get--some turned out a little better than others--this example is typical.

Well, I don't make the rules, but I don't see why not, if the person who is in line to post your envelope can't or isn't interested in doing so. In my case, I know Mary Ellen got the card, but is probably busy right now or something, so I just decided to post one myself.

I suppose many of the people are at IAMPETH and won't be able to post for the next couple of days.

Thanks Briana and Debbie. I really enjoyed this Summer Exchange, especially as I've just only started calligraphy and it shows in my writing. Briana, I didn't design the wax seal. I purchased it while on holiday in Italy. I was lucky enough to find one with my initials off the shelf. :) Debbie, I'm not a graphic designer but I am very into scrapbooking and was on the design team for several.

The person after me on the list is Schin and I haven't received her card yet. I'll post it once I receive it. So looking forward to it.

Hi Everyone,
I have received almost all of the envelopes from my group, and I LOVE THEM ALL!  They're all VERY inspiring.

Has anyone from list 1 received Maurelle de los Santos' card?  I didn't want to post until I received hers but it hasn't arrived.

This is the envelope I received from Salman.  It is beautifully written.  I just kept staring at it wondering how to blend the colors like that?

These exchanges are so much fun for me.  And my kids always happy to check the mail box for me too!  They're always excited to see what's inside the all the pretty envelopes!
Thank you so much everyone.

Oh wow.  Salman's skill is just out of this world.  Look at the regularity, the colours, those squared tops ... *swoon*

Hi Roseann, I haven't received Maurelle's either. I'm just missing Schin's, Erica's and Maurelle's. I'm sure they're on their way to me.

Hi Sue!
That's good to know.
I wanted to post a picture of all the envelopes I've received but I don't want to leave Maurelle's out.
I'll just wait until I receive hers.
Thank you.

....

Roseann - blending the colors is really easy. I just wrote two or three letters with the Amber ink and then touched up parts I wanted shaded with another pen dipped in Orange. I accidentally dipped my writing pen in Orange instead of Amber for the last two letters which is why they are all one color :-(

I have shared the details of how the card and the envelope were made on my blog: Summer Exchange Cards.

...and no, I have not received a card from Maurelle yet.

Oh wow.  Salman's skill is just out of this world.  Look at the regularity, the colours, those squared tops ... *swoon*

Oh Moya - you are too kind. My ego will remain bloated for a good 2 weeks now :-)

Mike, I had no idea that photograph was yours. It is just awesome.
