Connecting minuscule 'w' to 'r' ?

I could really do with some help on this, can anyone point me in the direction of a tut, video or exemplar that includes dealing with joining these 2 letters together?

In this lesson: Pointed Pen Lesson 5 I demonstrate the word "wreck."

my trouble is a w to s. :(

My maiden name is Dawson and I'm having one heck of a time trying to get that to look right. Especially now that i'm doing my brothers wedding invitations....
