Bardolino
« on: July 14, 2022, 03:54:53 AM »
AS I don't have much calligraphic imagination, I was pleased to come up with this style, which is all my own work
I had to give it a name so I called it "Bardolino" after our favourite holiday destination in Italy.
The minuscules have built-in ligatures so inter-letter spacing is automatic.

@Ken Fraser I always enjoy and am amazed at seeing your work here!  Developing one's one new style must certainly take a high degree of creative imagination and skill.

PS: It occurs to me that your "accurate writing" quote requires only a "j", "q" and "z" to be a pangram!   ;D

Kudos,
~Karl

A lovely script, @Ken Fraser , legible and very easy on the eyes. I don't know how you came up with it, but am glad you did. Thanks for sharing it.

The quote is from The Secret Skill of The Skill of Madarasz, His Philosophy and Penmanship Masterpieces , more commonly known as the Madarasz Book (on p5 in my copy), in a letter Madarasz wrote in 1902 to T. Courtney, a friend and student of his.
