EDIT: My apologies! I forgot to mention I'm referring to copperplate lettering here.

Hello everyone! This is my first topic post outside my introduction and it's one I'm really curious about, which letters do you find the hardest to write when doing calligraphy? I'm a newbie myself but have definitely taken to some letters more than others and these are the letters that I need to do a ton of practicing on;

a, d, e, o (o is definitely the worst), x, and y both lower and upper case these letters drive me wild and unfortunately almost all of these are vowels! I think it's the prominent curves that get me, so I gotta get my practice on!

The letters I find a pleasure to write however are;

f, g, r, t and z! F is my favourite so far both lower and upper case I just love how many flourishes can be added to it and I think it's such a beautiful looking letter! I also find uppercase in general a lot easier to write than lowercase so far!

How about all of you? I'll be very eager to hear which letters you all like and I hope I'm not alone in finding certain letters harder than others!

Introductions / Hello from the UK!

Hello there everyone! My name is Milli and I live in a small town in the UK! I'm so excited to be on this forum ;D However, I'm most certainly in the fledgling stages of calligraphy and lettering. I got into it around the beginning of February after discovering SeanWes and his hand-lettering and I just got my first pen holder! I'm keeping track of my lettering progress on Instagram (even though I'm a super newbie!) and really hope to just grow and learn as much as I can from all you lovely people :)
