Don't tell anyone but I lost the glass insert that came with it. Good thing it fits a standard 1.5in container perfectly though!

Today I received my first true inkwell and I'm pretty happy with it 8) It's an industrial inkwell made by Salvador (who also makes the aluminum holders in Mexico). No more spilling my walnut ink, this thing is nice and heavy with a generous opening that allows even my larger width holders to dip without problems.

Heebs, my eye is drawn to your holder. And is that an engraved flange I see on it? <3

Yes it is ;) I'm lucky to have a couple of them, after I finished this holder I thought they would make a great combo.

Newest addition. So art deco/Edwardian. Goes with the house (built in 1929), so I had to get it. That's my excuse and I'm stickin' with it.

I have stated swooning over beautiful inkwells too. At this point I want them to be useable and I worry my oblique pen won't fit the opening... That concern has saved me a lot of money... I may just start collecting them because they are so charming....but then I couldn't buy new shoes :)

I have started saving little jam jars. They are adorable.

Such an elegant ink well and pen holder deserves a much nicer pen.

After some research turns out this is a holder for a bottle of ink. Still old though
