Introductions / Good Morning & Hello from Mountain Home, ID! :)

Hello Everyone!
I am an absolute beginner, I have never tried calligraphy in my life but I am a lover of typography and penmanship. I was inspired when I came across Linda Yoshida on Instagram and decided to take a leap of faith and try to learn myself. The last of my online ordered supplies arrive at the end of the week so I am excited to get started!
A little about me..... I am a British gal, living in Idaho with my USAF husband and our dogs. I am a social worker by trade, but my passion is Henna! I started to learn almost 3 years ago and I haven't looked back since. I am really hoping that my steady henna hand will aid me in my calligraphy journey..... Because calligraphy is going to be a huge benefit for me in henna, given that quotes are so often requested.
I am excited to jump right in and soak up all the knowledge and information here like a sponge. I would like to thank the talented and gracious Linda Yoshida for pointing me in the direction of this forum. I am inspired and ready!
The turning point in my henna journey (from hobby to business) was a weekend conference, with classes by expert henna artists, I am keeping my fingers crossed that there is something similar for calligraphy? If anyone has workshops or classes local to me (or even in the surrounding states) I would be happy to hear from you. I am a very visual learner so I would love individual or group classes.
