Omgosh, Erica!  I think I passed the ink demons on to you.  So sorry.  Isn't it awful??!!  It's soooo frustrating and disheartening.  It's definitely a kill joy!

McCaffery's Ivory lacks quite a bit in my opinion. It's not opaque, doesn't act like any of the other McCaffery's inks. It's generally just a pain to use.

Dr. Martins Bleed Proof White is the only white ink I've used that I like.

Thanks so much all for the feedback. Your experience seems to be the worst, Erica! I was using a vintage Brause Rose nib on the sheet on IG, no problems with the hairlines there (but not superfine, I admit). I also find it not very opaque, good to hear that that's what all say. For some uses (like on light colored paper) it still looks nice imho, just because it's not superwhite.

But I am absolutely with you, Christopher, that the Dr. Martin's Bleedproof is the best white ink ever! I am so happy I tried it. Absolutely lovely to use.

I looked at it dried today and it was more yellow than ivory.  :( Oh well...gave it a try! Doc Martin's Bleedproof white for me!  :)

Has anyone tried the new McCaffrey's White? The word on the street is it's better than Dr. Martin's Bleedproof White!  :o
