Hi, Milonguera! Fun picture you got there! I am pretty petite. I guess it describes me well. ;)

Thank you, I will have to check that out. :)

Hello and Welcome, LittleWriter.  What a charming tag name!  If you check in here often, no doubt you'll learn a lot and meet the most wonderful people.  Why not go ahead and find the Before and After section and post a picture of your just starting out calligraphy.  It's a lot of fun to note how we progress.

I work year-round for the Grand Hotel. We actually just moved to Lansing 2 weeks ago for winter.
Yes, the island is pretty interesting. 3 vehicles- police car, fire truck, and ambulance.

I have been to the Sault before but it was a quick trip. I like the Locks. Fun to watch!

Oh, I agree 100% about Mastering Copperplate. Helps me alot. :)

Thank you, AmyNeub! I will definitely check the website. :p

I love Mackinac Island. My school would take the "year end" trip there. So fun.

Did you just move there? It's so beautiful and no cars. I grew up 50 miles north in the Sault. I live in Chicago now, but go home to visit my parents often.

Good books. I would master Copperplate first before getting into modern calligraphy, but just my opinion. There is a lot of tutorials on here from Erica, so make the most of it. Also IAMPETH.com has rare books with wonderful free pdf's by master penman.

Flourish away!

Hello littlewriter! I'm from Manila and I only started being serious with calligraphy more than a month ago. It can get quite addicting!

I'm getting excited with your determination. :D

Woaah, just a month ago! I think I'm starting to feel that way. I can't stop practicing. Time flies by so fast. I really like it.

Thank you, you're my inspiration!  ;)

Hello! I'm Cham from Mackinac Island, MI. Originally from Manila, Philippines!
I bought books such as Mastering Copperplate Calligraphy and Modern Calligraphy but did not really start until I found this forum.
I just started practicing, yesterday. I am really intrigued with the precision and repetition.
I cannot wait to progress. I will flourish!

Very excited to have found this forum! Filipinos everywhere, I feel at home! Hah!  ;)
So, thank you for being here. You're awesome! ;D
