Hi to everyone who welcomed me    
....I am trying to figure out how to respond to an individual comment.
I have tried the help section, but I am not finding the directions.
Maybe one of you can explain it.
I think I need some *practice* posting to understand how this works.

Your practice pages look very nice. It is hard to critique without seeing which exemplar you are using. If you can post an image of the exemplar, that would help. Since you have the patience to write many pages that are so consistent, you will do well if you keep it up. It would help if you could get some guide sheets that have slant lines. Would you be able to print out guide sheets from a PDF?  I see that your ascenders on b, d, h, k, and l are one space taller than the body of the letter (or the x-height) etc. and the y, j, g, have loops or descenders that are two spaces long. Usually, you want the ascenders and descenders to be the same length. In this case, I would lengthen the ascenders. Let me know if this makes sense. If not, I can explain it better.

Hi everyone:
I exchanged envelopes with Erica many years ago and am just getting around to joining the forum.
Every single day, for nearly 5 years, I have posted a new decorated envelope on my blog:
pushingtheenvelopes.blogspot.com
The blog includes a mixture of my own envelopes as well as the ones I receive.

In addition to teaching I do a fair amount of commissioned work.
I look forward to the conversations on the forum.
