Hehe, Jean – I have no idea if you're making fun of me – but today I got Instacoll, K. Miniatum Ink and White Gold Leaf :).

if you google *gilding with garlic juice* you will find several places to read about it...
i have not tried it, but have heard it works
but i am glad you have your Instacoll
it will probably work just fine for you

The heads on bird flourishes really freak me out.

Hahaha! I have no idea how I missed these replies! Glad to hear I'm not alone. It's not the birds in general that are freaky, it's the crazy eyes they're given—if I saw a bird look at me like that in real life I'd find an offensive weapon asap! :o It would be fair enough if you're flourishing an eagle or something, but there's some seriously deranged looking doves going around :P

- Sometimes I work on the FLOOR *quehorror!* because there is too much stuff on my desk and I really don't feel like tidying up.

It's a long time since I was able to reach the floor, never mind work on it!

oh my god TWICE now I've logged into etsy to see Brian-holders available and it's SUCH an effort of will not to click each time.  I know I can't afford them ... I know I don't need them ... and luckily all I have to do is hold off clicking for three seconds and I miss them ...

but those three seconds are the hardest seconds in the world.

I don't like Uncial. I have tried, but it just makes me think of hobbits.... and Celtic sacrifices to the moon God.
Apologies to all Uncial fans.

Whilst I don't dislike uncial in particular (or hobbits), I know exactly what you mean.  It makes me think of improbably expensive little packets of sea salt produced by "artisans".  ;)
