i was able to sneak in my nibs on holders before.  but to be safe, just check them in.  you wouldn't want to leave those nibs at the airport :)

starlee your invites are beyond gorgeous!!!  congratulations!

i only keep some of them in a folder. the rest are tossed away haha. sometimes you just need to see if you have improved or not.  :)  sadly, i can't keep them all; otherwise our small room would be in such a big mess

hi yen!

as what amanda said, snagging more than usual is one of the reasons you may want to throw them away :)  or if you have noticed that the tines are not entirely aligned anymore.

Coffee & Nib-bles / Re: What do you collect?
« on: February 26, 2015, 09:05:01 PM »
this thread is like an off-shoot of the calligrapher confessions thread :)

i don't really know if i can consider myself a collector, but i love keeping colorful/designed postcards, those event brochure thingies and just anything that i see in magazines.  i cut them out for gift tags sometimes, or to decor boxes and just anything, really.  if they are big enough, i turn them to envelopes :)

other than that, and the usual calligraphy stuff, i kinda have quite a number of tote bags.  although i sometimes love those leather, designer-looking handbags, i'm a totes-girl.  i just like dumping all of my stuff inside :)

Tools & Supplies / Re: Manuscript Leonardt 300 Ballpoint Nib
« on: February 10, 2015, 09:36:38 PM »
hi yen!

i only used this nib a couple of times.  yes, the output for me is as if it is a regular ballpoint pen too.  but if you put a little more pressure, you would see a bit more shade in your downstrokes.  i never really liked it though haha...or maybe i should revisit that nib again

Coffee & Nib-bles / Re: What's the worst movie/film you've ever seen?
« on: February 09, 2015, 09:46:00 PM »
I just saw this this past weekend. As you may know the movie is a story off of the Conjuring. The real doll is a raggedy Ann doll at the The Warren's Occult Museum. Nothing like that creepy doll in the movies. Weather you  believe or not kinda freaky!

i saw the conjuring brad, and i kinda liked it.  it freaked me out actually haha.  but this annabelle movie is just bad.  the lead female is nothing but terrible.
